Alex goes to the beach

In June Alex had his first trip to the beach. Although he was too small to be out long we tried our hand at some new family pictures. He seemed very interested in the waves and sand and of course very entertained by big brother!

Welcome Baby Alex

We welcomed our new little man Alex four days before Christmas. No one was more excited than his new big brother, Dusty.

Mommy's Baby Showers

I had two baby showers for our new little man...

One was given by my family at my Aunt Lou's house in November. They had cake, drinks and refreshments but most of all my favorite thing in the world...my own box of Wedding cookies in the pink box!!! I LOVE THEM! Then to top off all the amazing gifts they all went in to buy us the travel system I wanted for Alex with the car seat, base and stroller. What an awesome day and amazing shower it truly was.

My second shower was given by my very best friends at Kristen's house in December. Those girls went over the top with a huge diaper cake and Christmas tree they all did decorated with all things for a baby you can think of, wash clothes, bottles, rattle, pacifiers, etc and then a string on the mantle with monogrammed onesies on it for little Alex. It was amazing. They even had blue candy canes in the champagne glasses for an added touch and the best thing of all...THE SALSA FROM EL TORRO LOCO THAT I HAVE BEEN CRAVING THIS WHOLE PREGNANCY!

We are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends and have everything we would ever want or need for our new little Alex to arrive.

Dusty loses his first tooth!!

When I came home from the baby shower on December 6, 2009 we had an interesting evening!
Dusty couldn't go to sleep because he had a loose tooth and was so afraid it would fall out while he was sleeping and the tooth fairy would not give him any money...
So we pulled it....what a day, preparing for baby #2 and baby #1 is losing his first tooth....I tear up again just thinking about it!

Dusty's first day of Kindergarten

Dusty started kindergarten on August 3, 2009. We were so excited for him. This was his first time at a big elementary school since he went to a private Pre K.

Florida 2009

We took a beach trip with Maw Maw in June and one last trip alone with Dusty to the beach in July before the baby comes in December this year. We went to St. Augustine and fell in love with it there. The town, beach, everything just called to us so we went there both trips and cannot wait to go back. The town has such a rich history and we took a carriage ride and toured some of the historical sites in town.

Here comes baby...that means construction

Once we found out in May that a new addition was on the way, we knew we had to make a little extra room. We decided to close in the single garage and make a playroom for the kids and a little space for the computer. THANK GOODNESS I HAVE AWESOME BROTHERS WHO KNOW PEOPLE!! With their help we were able to get the job done just in time. Here is a before and after...

Dusty graduates Pre K

In May Dusty graduated from Pre K at Brightstar....true to form Mommy and Daddy threw one heck of a graduation party for him at Grandmama's church, which is where the graduation ceremony was the night before. Everyone thought I was crazy and wonder what in the world I will do when he graduates next year from Kindergarten or High School even??

Kelly Birthday 2009

For my birthday we went to eat dinner at Mr Fuji in Griffin, a hibachi grill with some of our closest friends. We had a blast and little did we know that a little baby was already on his way!

Easter 2009

Dusty had several egg hunts, one at church, one at each Grandma's house, and one a school.

He loves to hunt eggs with his cousins...and of course make cupcakes! Look at that Easter stash!
